Rug 188 x 267cm

Woven using recycled yarns from vintage rugs, Pom Pom has an artful character. To begin, the vintage rugs — some over 100 years old, are unraveled by hand. The collected yarn is then separated into colours, washed and spun into new yarn before being re-woven on a hand loom into a tuft weave. The entire artisanal process takes around 2-3 months. Due to the handmade nature of Pom Pom, each rug has it’s own unique pattern and colour.

Product Care

As each rug is unique and made up of different yarns, we recommend contacting a professional handmade rug washer before cleaning for advice specific to your rug.

To keep your rug looking its best vacuum regularly to remove any dust or dirt. Avoid placing in direct sunlight and rotate regularly to equalise wear. Clip loose ends with scissors to remove and prevent pulling. Spot clean with cold water and a clean cloth – for stubborn stains use shampoo or wool mix, being careful to absorb any extra moisture after cleaning to prevent watermarking. To maintain your rugs condition, we recommend getting it professionally cleaned at least once a year — do not steam or dry clean.
