“Recently I’ve been inspired by the Australian painters Rick Amor and Jeffrey Smart and their response to the overlooked spaces under bridges and shapes in the industrial landscape. After researching sculptural architecture around the world, I decided to visit the home of Xavier Corbero, Ricardo Bofill buildings, as well as industrial buildings throughout Spain. These architects created buildings drawing on historic architectural forms and re-imagining utilitarian constructions to consider the building’s beauty and scale in the landscape.” Kane Alexander
