This fabric works beautifully on armchairs, sofas and ottomans, as the gentle lustre of the pile plays with the light and the texture adds a depth and richness of colour that will create a sense of atmosphere and grandeur. Cotton velvet is the most durable and long-lasting of all velvets, and the short pile ensures minimal movement and bruising on your chosen piece.

Protect fabric from fading by ensuring furniture sits out of direct or reflected sunlight. Regularly vacuum fabric to remove dust and dirt. Rotate cushions where possible so the fabric shows even wear. Wipe up spills as soon as possible with a damp cloth and for tough stains contact a specialist cleaner. Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered as a fault. Fiber pills can be removed by a battery-operated pilling tool available from most haberdashery stores.
