Handwoven in India using a traditional Tibetan rod-wrapping technique, the Merla Rug Oat is crafted from premium New Zealand wool with a dense, textured pile. A sculptural high-low checkerboard border adds subtle dimension. Handwoven over 2–3 months, each rug carries subtle border variations that reflect the hand of its maker, making every piece uniquely one of a kind.

Each rug is handmade and may vary in border design, texture, colour and shape, with a size tolerance of 2–3% expected and celebrated as part of its design.
