Victoria Paxton is a self-taught Australian-based ceramic artist working from her home studio in Perth. Each piece is designed in Victoria’s language through ceramics. All vases have soft organic curves, movements, and clean lines. Stoneware clay is used and the original colours of the clay create a unique, earthy, texture and raw personality. All of Victoria’s work is created by hand using coiling and slab-building techniques.

This technique uses minimal tools over a number of days and it can take to create a sculpture from 4-6 weeks. This process allows for thoughtful modification of the shape, texture, and balance.

Each piece is hand-made and unique, therefore no two vases will be the same, Shapes, colours, and textures will vary. This is the beauty of handmade pieces and should be celebrated.
