Greyson Leather

Bud

Our Greyson leather has a silky handle that will add an element of grandeur to your piece. Jardan Greyson is produced in Italy using the best young bull hides from Western Europe by a silver-certified Leather Working Group Tannery. We are sourcing from an AUA accredited tannery which guarantees a commitment to safeguarding the environment. These hides are produced as a by-product from the meat industry and Italy has strict environmental laws in place to ensure effluent produced during the tanning process is treated to European Standards by the Acque del Chiampo state-of-the-art purification plant to produce neutralised water for re-use.

This aniline leather is vacuum-dried and finished using only aniline and natural waxes. The wax application highlights the nuances coming from the different organic compositions that are intrinsic features of the naturalness of the hide. Greyson offers benefits such as high breathability, paired with a soft touch and sensation that truly makes any piece a statement. Offered in a versatile and sophisticated colour palette covering earthy neutrals, the classics, and contemporary options there is something to suit all interior settings.

Care

Leather is a natural product characterised by the unique tone and individual markings that the animal has acquired during its life which may include creases and stretchmarks, scars, and insect bites. Some softening and stretching of the leather is to be expected with use. Wipe leather with a clean, damp cloth on a weekly basis to remove dust and dirt particles that can work their way into the hide and abrade the surface. To refresh your leather, care packages specifically designed for aniline and finished leathers are available at your nearest Jardan store. To treat difficult stains, we recommend contacting a specialist leather cleaner who can also assist with regular treatment of the leather to nourish and prolong the life of leather upholstery. Keep your leather furniture at least 30cm away from any sources of heat. Prolonged exposure to heating vents or radiators will cause your leather to dry out, crack, or harden.
