Cabin Leather

Walnut

Cabin is a heavyweight leather that is produced using premium bull hides that are a by-product of the meat industry.  These hides are sourced from one of Italy’s finest and most respected tanneries and all effluent produced is treated by the Acque del Chiampo state-of-the-art purification plant to produce neutralised water for re-use. This tannery is an ISO 14001 Certified company that is committed to environmental management and operates in an environmentally sustainable manner. The tannery also carries the ISO 9001 Quality Certification and utilises some of the most advanced waste management techniques in the industry, with all tannery wastage (liquid, gas, and solid) treated to European Standards on-site and again at a shared off-site facility as mentioned above.

Cabin features a pronounced grain that adds depth and strength of colour combined with a beautifully soft handle to create a truly sensory experience. The benefits of this leather are that it is extremely tolerant to soiling and spillage and has outstanding technical qualities, making it the perfect choice for any residential or commercial application.

Care

Leather is a natural product characterised by the unique tone and individual markings that the animal has acquired during its life which may include creases and stretchmarks, scars, and insect bites. Some softening and stretching of the leather is to be expected with use.

Wipe leather with a clean, damp cloth on a weekly basis to remove dust and dirt particles that can work their way into the hide and abrade the surface. To refresh your leather, care packages specifically designed for aniline and finished leathers are available at your nearest Jardan store.

To treat difficult stains, we recommend contacting a specialist leather cleaner who can also assist with regular treatment of the leather to nourish and prolong the life of leather upholstery. Keep your leather furniture at least 30cm away from any sources of heat. Prolonged exposure to heating vents or radiators will cause your leather to dry out, crack, or harden.

Please be aware that the images presented online are to be used as a guideline only to the colour of your final product. Digital representations vary from screen to screen and slight variation between dye lots is also to be expected. When selecting your leather we therefore recommend visiting our sales team in store to view our swatches in person and discuss suitability of your chosen fabrics. You can also call your closest showroom to request a sample via post.
